Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.

The Iron Claw (15)
This biographical sports drama from A24 could be one of the dark horse picks for the best movie of 2024. Telling the story of the legendary Texan-grown Von Erich wrestling dynasty, the film looks at the success and the tragedy that followed this family. From director Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene), The Iron Claw stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany and Lily James, among some other professional wrestling stars like Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Chavo Guerrero Jr. Critics have hailed the film as authentic, powerful and stunningly acted, with a story that does the utmost justice to the sport and these titans of it.


The Jungle Bunch: World Tour (U)
The zany animal saviour are back in this animated family adventure sequel to the 2017 box office hit! As a nefarious beaver villain has blanketed the jungle in a deadly pink substance that explodes when coming into contact with water. And what with the rainy seasons incoming this spells potential doom for all jungle kind! So our heroic ragtag team must search for an antidote! Perfect February half term family entertainment!!

Bob Marley: One Love (12a)

One Love, People Get Ready for this incredible story about the life of a legend. Telling the story of the Soul Rebel himself, Bob Marley (Kingsley Ben-Adir), this biopic from director Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard) is based on the life of the late great reggae legend, from his humble origins and rise to fame, all the way up until his death in 1981. Co-starring Lashana Lynch and James Norton. Anyone who knows this story, knows the power of the man, his music and his message despite so much trouble in the world. From war to people stirring it up. This could be one of the best musician biopics to come along in some time, jamming with a story that will compel, entertain and inspire in equal measure. In a big screen experience brimming with positive vibration.

Madame Web (12a)

Based on the Marvel Comics and spider-verse shattering character, this thrilling new addition to Sony's Spider-Man universe, tells the story of Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson), a New York City paramedic who, after certain events, shows signs of clairvoyance and must act on her visions, to protect three young women from a masked attacker who wants them dead! Looking to blend the superhero genre with Final Destination-like thrills, this exciting new vision in heroic entertainment is set to be exciting, enticing and full of surprises for fans and newcomers alike.
