Silver Screen Weekly - What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 10 February 2023

Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week!

From Friday 10th February

Magic Mike’s Last Dance (15)
Channing Tatum is back one last time in Magic Mike's Last Dance, as director Steven Soderbergh brings the Magic Mike trilogy to an all out climax in this romantic comedy drama that sees Mike forced back to the stage, as a wealthy socialite comes calling with an offer he can't refuse. Co-starring Salma Hayek, this film sees to reward fans with a last dance worth the price of admission and a worthwhile end to this powerful story of triumph, loss and love. Perfect for Valentine's week!

Women Talking (15)
Sarah Polley’s drama, set in 2010, centres on an old fashioned isolated Religious community and the women of it, who are grappling with harsh realities that have come with their faith. Nominated for two academy awards, Women Talking is a harrowing but essential depiction of violence and horror from the view of the women who face it, especially when in the false name of faith. A powerful and urgent film about silence, rage and rebellion, with a fantastic ensemble cast (including Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw and Frances McDormand) firing on all cylinders.
