.wavrunner are Jack Wesley, younger brother JJ and Griff. Jack and Griff met as second graders in Cleveland, USA after realizing they were kindred, mischievous spirits. They first bonded over their shared passion for choice four letter words…. A decade later, Jack and Griff are just as fun-loving and cheeky in their roles as co-lyricists for .wavrunner with Jack handling lead vocals, Griff as co-vocalist and JJ who creates the beats and arrangements. Ha! That’s easy. “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin. It reminds me not to take anything too seriously. It helps me to block all the crazy shit that comes at me every day. I feel like no matter where you are or what you’re going through, that song will absolutely put a smile on your face.

Contemplate

“Confused” by Kid Cudi is the one song that would cause me to contemplate. It’s a loud and brash song that almost makes you want to kill yourself. Now contemplate that!

Cry

You wanna bring a tear to my eye, spin “Helplessly Hoping” by Crosby, Stills & Nash. The lyrics are just so uuuuhhhhh. Words can’t describe the feeling it gives me. I cried to it recently. The damn song gets me every time.

Laugh

The storytelling in Big Hongry’s “Early One Morning” makes me laugh my ass off. Everything about Big Hongry makes me laugh. Even his name. Yo Big Hongry - let’s collab!
