Hi, Vince, how are you?
I'm great, thanks! I am really busy right now, but I enjoy being busy!
It's been a very exciting year so far. First of all, tell us about the tour.
The tour was amazing. People probably don't know this, but it was my first full UK headline tour. The best part was being able to finally play my songs live with an incredible band for the first time.
Talking about new material. The album is just around the corner. Tell us more...
The creative process, I think, is different for every artist.
I spent five months in London with Paul Visser, also known as Goldcrush, challenging myself and Paul to ask ourselves, "Could it be better?" at every stage.
With the album, it wasn't all plain sailing, and there were changes in direction early on, but I am really lucky to have an amazing team behind me that has helped guide me through.
It's been a long time since we saw you on The Voice, and it's been a bumpy ride. How does it feel to finally reach the point of album release?
It feels like every single emotion rolled into one! It will be great to finally be able to say, 'My debut album is out now!'

Have your ambitions altered since The Voice?
Yes, I guess so. I think that's mostly due to growing up, having kids, and having a family. I am every bit as driven, if not more, than I was then. I just am not so bothered about chasing fame.
What are your current ambitions?
I have an amazing show in October with the London Community Gospel Choir at Union Chapel. It's an iconic venue or church, and it's big!! My current focus is to sell out Union Chapel and create a real 'I was there when..' moment for the audience.
And lastly, which song are you most excited for people to hear from the album?
Oh, that's a difficult one. Personally, I would select the song
Oh, What a Life as my choice. It feels like the album's heartbeat.
