Uk Tour

Paul Stimpson, Features Writer

Five piece Ipswich alternative rock band Fenrir have announced details of a UK tour in support of their forthcoming EP ''The Rise''.

Unfortunately, we have to wait another month for the EP to drop so for now we quench our thirst with the lead single from that very EP - the mercurial ''Bones''.

The long wait for new material from Fenrir has been worth it, as guitarist Mike Cockayne states the band has really progressed since their last EP. '' More than anything it's more refined than our older songs and it really shows what we're all about."

We can't really disagree. Bones, at two and a half minutes long, is a quick fire foray into the new, energised Fenrir.

Ben Slater has the voice and the charisma on the front line whilst the band duly props up the morose melodies with some truly explosive moments instrumentally.

We are a fan of explosive chorus's here; it is what wakes us up in the morning/mid-afternoon. No chorus no party, no Fenrir, no fun.

''The Rise'' is released on the 21st September.

Fenrir also have a UK tour lined up in September.
