Seattle four-piece Chastity Belt will headline a UK and European tour this October before supporting Death Cab for Cutie on their November dates.
Known for being quirky, kookie and self-deprecating, it seems the band don't do anything without mocking - except their music.
Moving on from party girls to more adult reflection has suited them well. 'Time to go Home', their second LP is a more contemplative album, heavier with the self doubt of the morning after, rather than the abandonment of the night before.
There's more than a touch of melancholy to their sound now, woozy rhythms underline floating vocals that question and reflect.
The effect is deliciously soporific. The songs are moody and ambient suffused at times with an exquisite sadness. Addictive langourous hooks and dream-like instrumentation promise captivating live performances.
