Faith Museum Hosts Event Exploring First Major Art Installation

The Faith Museum presents an evening of conversation with prominent British artist Mat Collishaw and Elizabeth Oldfield, host of The Sacred podcast, in the Throne Room of Auckland Castle on Tuesday 7th May, 7pm – 9pm.

An exclusive after-hours event will explore the inspirations behind Eidolon, the Faith Museum’s first contemporary installation created by Mat, that has been leaving a powerful impact on all those who visit the Faith Museum. The exhibition is on show to visitors and has been described as a meditation on faith, suffering and rebirth.

Mat Collishaw will be joined by Elizabeth Oldfield, host of The Sacred, a podcast exploring people’s values, empathy, and differences. From hosting academics to playwrights, journalists and politicians’, organisers of the event expect it to be a fruitful discussion of art and faith.

Taking place in the Throne Room of Auckland Castle ticket holders will be able to walk in centuries old footsteps and gain access to the Faith Museum.
